In 2015 we completed a lean-to extension in Ullapool for the Ullapool Harbour Trust. To start off we had to locate existing underground services and protect them through the duration of the project. We then had to excavate for foundations and a concrete slab base. We installed a new perforated land drain along the rear end of the lean-to and a concrete slab and foundation sub-base. We constructed a timber roof and sheet in profiled metal cladding and blockwork walls. To form a new doorway inside the lean-to we had to slap through below the existing window. We installed 5No exterior grade fluorescent lights, exterior grade sockets and switches. The lean-to extension compromised of incombustible metal guttering once the existing surface water drainage was altered. Once the lean-to was built we had to remove the existing metal fence and provide a new concrete slab 10x6m outside the lean-to.
